Summer Clubhouse ages 5 and up.

Your student is invited to join us this summer for a fun mix of themed, hands-on arts and science projects, as well as field trips and special guests! See below for our schedule of activities.

Camp hours are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Extended care hours are available from 3:30 to 5:30 pm for an additional fee.

Camp tuition: $150* (includes field trips). Extended care fee: $25 per week.

June 4-7 | Environmental Explorers*   Find out what makes our North Texas environment unique through outdoor exploration, philosophical inquiry, map-making, and other art activities. Field trips to Dallas Zoo and LLELA. Graduate students and professors in Art, Education, and Philosophy at UNT worked together to plan this exciting week-long event. The camp is $125, and some scholarships are available. Email admin@koanschool.org for more information.

June 10-14 | Under the Sea (with Sharks!)   Explore the depths of the ocean through crafts, storytelling, and STEM activities. Field trip to SeaQuest Fort Worth.

June 17-21 | Lost in Space!  Have an out-of-this-world adventure learning all about the cosmos! Field trips to UNT’s Sky Theater and Explorium.

June 24-28 | Recycled Materials Fashion Week   Make costumes out of recycled materials and engage in collaborative storytelling. Field trips to Rose Costumes and Denton Landfill.

July 8-12 | Rainforest Adventures  Learn all about life under the rainforest canopy through hands-on science and art activities. Field trip to Dallas World Aquarium.

July 15-19 | Time Travelers  Travel through time from ancient civilizations to the future! Explore culture and technology through the ages. Field trip to Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.

July 22-26 | Fossil Fun  Dig into fossils! Field trip to Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

July 29-Aug 2 | Survival Camp  Lost in the woods? No problem! This camp will teach you some basic survival skills (how to build a simple shelter, identify harmful and helpful plants, basic first aid, etc.) to hold you over until Superman comes to save the day! Field trip to Clear Creek.

Aug 5-9 | Critter Camp  Learn what it takes to live and work on a farm, including animal caretaking, and growing and making your own food. Field trip to a local farm.
